A trailblazing Muslim woman is accelerating into the history books.
Emirati racing driver Amna Al Qubaisi has become the first woman to compete in the Pro category of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2026, marking a landmark moment for women in global motorsport and for Muslim female representation on one of racing’s most competitive stages.
The 26-year-old athlete from the United Arab Emirates will race the iconic Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.2) with Team Jebsen, beginning her campaign at the Shanghai International Circuit.
For many young Muslim women watching around the world, Amna’s latest achievement is about far more than speed.
It is about visibility, courage and refusing to accept limits.
A Pioneer for Muslim Women in Motorsport
Amna has already built a reputation as one of the most exciting names in international racing.
She previously became:
The first Arab woman to win a Formula 4 race at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi, in 2019
A competitor in the elite F1 Academy, the all-female racing series spotlighted globally through Netflix
The first Middle Eastern woman to take part in an official Formula E test programme in Saudi Arabia
Now, by stepping into the Pro class of Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, she enters a new level of competition traditionally dominated by men.
“For me, being on the race-track is not just about speed, but about the courage to finish what we started.”
Faith-Friendly Beauty Meets High Performance
Alongside her racing success, Amna has also been announced as the Global Face of Wardah, Indonesia’s leading halal beauty brand.
Wardah has built an international reputation as a pioneer in modest, faith-conscious beauty products, and its partnership with Amna signals a growing confidence in celebrating Muslim women who thrive in every field—from boardrooms to sport.
The campaign centres around the slogan “Own Your Finish”, encouraging women to pursue excellence in spaces where they are still underrepresented.
Findi Novia Lusintasari, Wardah’s Decorative Marketing Group Head, said Amna represents resilience, courage and inspiration.
Beauty at Full Throttle
The collaboration also launches Wardah’s latest product, Staylock Lip Matte, designed to withstand long hours, extreme heat and high-pressure environments.
According to the brand, the formula offers:
Over 20 hours wear
Smudge resistance
Waterproof and transferproof technology
Hydrating ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid and Peptides
Amna even joked that confidence matters under the helmet too.
“Inside the helmet, when speeds exceed 200 km/h, absolute focus is everything. Wardah Staylock Lip Matte gives me that extra edge of confidence and comfort.”
Amna Al Qubaisi’s success reflects a wider shift taking place across Muslim communities worldwide.
Muslim women are increasingly visible in industries once seen as inaccessible—elite sport, motorsport, STEM, politics and entrepreneurship—while staying rooted in their values.
Her story challenges outdated stereotypes that Muslim women must choose between faith, femininity and ambition.
As she lines up on the grid in Asia this season, Amna carries more than a racing helmet.
She carries the hopes of young girls in Dubai, London, Jakarta, Birmingham and beyond who dream of entering spaces where they have never seen someone like themselves before.
At over 200km/h, she is not just racing competitors.
