What is the perception versus reality about the life of Pakistanis in UK?

Good question, well, I guess a lot of people think that, you know, it’s very hunky dory for everyone who’s living in UK, which is not the case when you actually go there. I mean, of course, there are people who are well off and are doing well. But at the same time, there are people who are struggling, as much as anyone who’s living anywhere in the world. So it’s not that easy, as much as it seems maybe from you know, maybe being in Pakistan.

What do you appreciate about both countries?

I think what I appreciate about both Pakistan and UK is, for me, it’s the weather.

When Pakistan has great weather, it has really great weather and UK generally has good weather for people from Pakistan, even in summers. So I think that is what I really like about the UK.

What kind of project would you like to work on next?

I think I would really like to work on a project in which maybe your perspective of someone from Pakistan is shown about people living in UK whether it’s Pakistanis in UK, or generally British people who are living in UK is usually what you see, the narrative that has been there has been written by people who have lived Pakistanis even lived in UK so I think maybe an outsider’s view about both the types of people over there. I think that might be an interesting or a new thing to see.

If your free during the evenings, go and watch my movie – London Nahi Jaunga in cinemas today!
