Mercedes-Benz and Binghatti unveil major new community development in Dubai

Mercedes-Benz has announced a new large-scale property development in Dubai in partnership with leading Emirati developer Binghatti, marking the second collaboration between the two brands. The project, titled Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City, will be located in the Meydan district and is being described as a “city within a city”.

Covering around nine million square feet, the development will be Binghatti’s first fully masterplanned community. It brings together multiple residential towers with shared amenities, green spaces and walkable neighbourhood facilities, designed to support modern urban living while encouraging a strong sense of community.

The project represents an expansion of Mercedes-Benz Places, which began with a single residential tower in Downtown Dubai and later extended to a community-focused development in Miami. The Meydan project takes this concept further by creating an entire district rather than a standalone building.

Speaking about the vision behind the development, Mathias Geisen, Member of the Board of Management at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, said the aim is to create places where the brand’s values translate into everyday living, offering residents environments that feel purposeful, connected and liveable.

Binghatti Chairman Muhammad BinGhatti highlighted the shared approach between the two partners, describing the development as a carefully planned urban environment where design, innovation and quality of life come together. He added that the project is intended to become one of Dubai’s most distinctive neighbourhoods.

The masterplan includes homes alongside parks, green corridors, retail streets, wellness and sports facilities, mobility hubs and spaces for dining and social life. Everyday needs are intended to be within walking distance, supporting a lifestyle that values convenience, wellbeing and community interaction.

For Mercedes-Benz, the project reflects a wider move beyond automotive design into architecture and place-making. The company’s well-known design philosophy, known as “Sensual Purity”, has been adapted from car design into the built environment, shaping buildings and public spaces with a focus on balance, simplicity and refinement.

As cities continue to grow, developments such as this point to a future where housing, services and mobility are integrated more thoughtfully—creating neighbourhoods designed not just for prestige, but for long-term living and shared experience.
