NK FASHION WEEK SHOWCASE OF EMERGING DESIGNERS ROCKS LONDON AT BENTLEY

LONDON, 17 Sept 2019 – NK Fashion Week made its debut in London with its fashion event under the label NK Fashion Week organised by Norish Kareem London, held during the London Fashion Week on Sunday 15th September at The Bentley Hotel in Kensington. Due to its sold out status, the show were held twice, at 3.00pm and 5.00pm.

The event brought together 8 fashion designers mainly from South East Asia, USA and UK who showcased their unique collections after the beautiful rendition of songs by Chloe Jasmine, a well-known British celebrity. MW by Mimi Wahedah opened NK Fashion Week with her collection of modestly-stunning turbans, neck collars and capes, followed by Dr. Normi’s Opal Swimwear and Fana Couture featured The Express Hijab collection by designer Azyliana.

The Spring Summer 2020 collections continued with Simonetta Sabo’s glamorous comfortable street and evening wear, followed by Lila’s collection of her brand Lila Majnun who showcased the smart-trendy casual wear of “Kain Pelikat” or what is internationally known as ‘sarong’ while Dato’ Ema Ibrahimstrutted the runway with Lila Majnun Luxe Collection with Ceres Jewels.

Norish Kareem X Lang Batek flown all the way from Langkawi Island, Malaysia showcased their beautiful hand-dye fabric prior to Taylor Uchytil’s collection of street wear themed ‘Nana’ which demonstrated both strength and grace in women. Norish Kareem Couture closed the showcase by showing a great combo of feminism to spark women empowerment with their themed collection ‘the colourful of life’ and launched its NK bridal collection.   

Among the highlights was the special appearance by the word’s first down-syndrome model who recently won The Inspiration Achievement Award from Runway of Dream in New York, Madeline Stuart.

The main sponsor was Ahlan Tejari, manufacturer of 100% pure goat’s

milk – one of the most widely consumed milk drinks in the world. Other sponsors includes Glitzkoin, CERES, S3 Technology and The Bentley Hotel, London.

Glitzkoin, the diamond blockchain and multifunctional crypto sponsored this chapter with their gorgeous gifts of diamond rings presented by Lila Ruzaini to Madeline Stuart and Dato’ Emmaon behalf of Ceres Jewels to the show’s organiser Norish Kareem. Norish, a Malaysian who made her name as one of the renowned international fashion designer is enthusiastic about providing bigger platforms for emerging designers to market their collections worldwide.

The event continued with business-matching session at the showroom dedicated for guests and buyers to view all the available collection after the show.

Among the distinguished guests and celebrities attended were His Excellency Datuk Muhammad Sadik Kethergany, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to the UK and Northern Ireland, Mr. Abdul Basit Syed, the Craydon UK Ambassador, and Mr. Megat Iskandar, Matrade UK Trade Commissioner.

Next NK Fashion Week will be held in Langkawi Island and Doha, Qatar in 2020.
