Presented by The Aziz Foundation, London’s West End will once again be illuminated with a free, family-friendly celebration marking the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan Lights London, the UK’s first and largest annual Ramadan light display, returns to the heart of the capital for its fourth spectacular year. Fully funded by The Aziz Foundation (Registered Charity: 1169558), the landmark installation will transform Coventry Street into a breathtaking display of light, welcoming Londoners and visitors of all backgrounds to share in the spirit of Ramadan.
More than 30,000 energy-efficient LED lights will be suspended above one of London’s most iconic streets, shining nightly from 5.00pm to 5.00am throughout the month. Inspired by Islamic geometric design and the celestial rhythm of Ramadan, the lights will glow in soft, luminous tones, reflecting the daily cycle of fasting and prayer.
During Ramadan, the installation will display the message “Happy Ramadan” until 18 March 2026. Overnight, the display will then change to “Happy Eid”, marking the joyous arrival of Eid al-Fitr. The Eid message will remain lit until the evening of 24 March 2026, extending the celebration and sense of togetherness across the city.
Since its historic debut in 2023 as the first aerial Ramadan lights in Western Europe, Ramadan Lights London has grown into a powerful symbol of inclusion, faith visibility and shared civic pride. Free and open to all, the display offers a moment of reflection on the universal values at the heart of Ramadan — generosity, compassion, gratitude and community.
Rahima Aziz BEM, Trustee at The Aziz Foundation, said:
“Ramadan Lights London is an open invitation to people of all faiths and none to come together and experience the values that define Ramadan. We are proud that this initiative has become a shining symbol of London’s diversity, reflecting the warmth, coexistence and community spirit that make this city so special.”
