Discover an indulgent menu at Kibele, where Mediterranean-inspired dishes are reimagined with a modern twist and each one tells a different story.
Does Turkish cuisine, and Gokyusu instantly come to mind as the top choice? I was looking for an upscale dining experience, and Kibele stood out as a fine option among the many Turkish restaurants in London. Tucked away in Fitzrovia, this hidden gem offered an authentic dining experience. The restaurant has been delighting both locals and tourists with its delicious and flavourful dishes.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a cosy and inviting atmosphere characterised by natural brick accents and modern touches. The mustard leather Chesterfield seating, the warm glow of smoked ambient lamps and LED lighting created a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary. The main restaurant is located on the ground floor, while the lower ground level is where entertainment takes place, ranging from live music to fire dancers and DJs. There is also a private function room downstairs for special occasions.

Our experience was made even more special when we were able to bring a birthday cake to the restaurant. The table was elegantly set with a rose in a glass vase, a lit candle, and a beautiful arrangement of glasses awaiting us.
Upon entering Kibele, every detail is meticulously considered, even during the bustling weekend rush. This restaurant is a prime option for those eager to savour the delectable tastes of Turkish cuisine in a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

The diverse menu featured a range of Mediterranean dishes, all halal crafted from top quality ingredients, each dish with its unique tale to tell. The cuisine was both fresh and expertly prepared using only the finest ingredients available. Some of our favourites include the zesty king prawns sautéed in garlic butter and spicy chilli, as well as the flavourful feta and spinach boreks. The dolma, goat’s cheese, and honey-glazed fig salad are also a popular choice. For something heartier, the Kibele mixed grill for five, served with rice, bulgur wheat, and chips, is a great option.

The Imam Bayildi, is an eggplant stuffed with seasonal veggies, pine nuts, and pomegranate, is a must-try authentic dish. To end on a sweet note, we indulged in the delightful Biscoff cheesecake and the pistachio baklava, accompanied by a traditional Turkish tea.
I was impeccably impressed by the prompt and friendly service, with knowledgeable staff, showed that the team has worked endlessly to bring decades of continental culinary experience with every dish showcasing contemporary flair.
Whether you have a hankering for a classic dish or are keen to sample something different, Kibele’s menu offers a variety to suit all tastes. Don’t pass up the opportunity to dine at this hidden culinary treasure in the heart of London.
