A Global Gateway to Sustainability and Female Leadership

The Creative Women Platform returned to London for its annual forum under the banner “Gateway to a Sustainable Future”, bringing together a powerhouse of global female leaders, royals, creatives, and changemakers.

Hosted at the UK Parliament and launched by Rupa Huq MP, the event opened with keynote speeches from the Rt Hon Sir John Whittingdale and HRH Princess Noura Bint Saud Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in conversation with Olga Balakleets, founder of the platform.

Over three vibrant days, attendees explored themes of sustainability across sectors—from finance and fashion to climate action and mental health. Rebeca Riofrio, chair of the Parliamentary Society for Arts, Sports and Fashion, led a moving discussion with Sarah, Duchess of York, on resilience and female empowerment.

Highlights included insights from futurist Maxim Jago, a fireside chat with filmmaker Martha Fiennes, and compelling contributions from Dr Viola EdwardMarine Tanguy, and Marie-Noelle Keijzer, among others. Royal voices such as HRH Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia and Shaikha Fouz Al Sabah further elevated the global sustainability dialogue.

The event concluded with a dazzling Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, honouring leaders in innovation and sustainability. Among those recognised were Princess Noura, the Duchess of York, and Martha Fiennes for Outstanding Achievement, while the Sustainability Awards spotlighted the work of Marie-Noelle KeijzerTessa Clarke, and Dr Renuka Thakore.

More than just a conference, the 2025 Forum was a celebration of women’s power to shape a greener, more inclusive future.
