Marble Arch London BID, in collaboration with The Portman Estate, has confirmed the return of its striking illuminated crescent moon installation for Ramadan at Nutford Place.

The display honours the significance of Ramadan within the local community, as thousands of people gather along Edgware Road each evening to break their fast at iftar and to celebrate the arrival of Eid al-Fitr together.

Standing at 2.9 metres tall, the bespoke walk-through crescent will remain in place throughout the holy month until Wednesday 18 March 2026. Illuminated daily from 6am to 11pm, the installation features warm white LED lighting, refined gold detailing and the message “Ramadan Mubarak”, conveying blessings and goodwill to visitors.

First introduced in 2024, the Ramadan lights have quickly become a much-loved seasonal feature, following on from the district’s annual Christmas lighting programme. The installation continues to attract visitors from across London, many of whom come to take photographs, share moments on social media and reflect on the spiritual meaning of Ramadan.

Known for its vibrant mix of cafés, shops and restaurants, Edgware Road offers an array of cuisines spanning Lebanese and Turkish to Iraqi, Egyptian and Indian dishes, making it a popular destination for iftar gatherings and Eid celebrations.

To mark the launch, Marble Arch London BID hosted a community photocall on 11 February 2026, bringing together local businesses and residents.

Kay Buxton, Chief Executive of Marble Arch London BID, said: “We are delighted to partner once again with The Portman Estate to bring the Ramadan lights back to Edgware Road. Their continued presence highlights the importance of recognising Ramadan in our public spaces and celebrates the diversity that makes this area such a special place for families and friends to come together during the holy month.”

Simon Loomes, Strategic Projects Director at The Portman Estate, added: “Supporting the Ramadan lights again this year is incredibly important to us. Ramadan holds deep meaning for many residents, businesses and visitors who contribute to the life of this neighbourhood. The display is a celebration of that shared identity, reflecting both the cultural heritage and strong community spirit that define Edgware Road. Together with Marble Arch London BID, we remain committed to creating welcoming places where everyone feels represented.”
