Windsor

Did you know that Windsor is home to the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world? Yes, that’s right! Thanks to the city being steeped in history, visitors will be fascinated at every turn. But beyond its history and many sites, Windsor is one of the best places to visit if you’re looking for some sunshine in the UK. Whether you’re coming alone, as a couple, with friends or with family, Windsor has something for everyone. If you’re looking for a theme park, be sure to visit Legoland which is one of the most popular theme parks in the UK. If you’re after a calm and relaxed evening, be sure to take a boat trip down the Thames. For those perfect family picnic moments, head over to Alexander Gardens and simply pick a spot! Whatever you choose to do in Windsor, you can guarantee that you’ll be spending your time amidst history, culture and some of the best scenery you’ll find in the UK!

Cambridge

This historic university city is a world of its own. With greenery galore, a mesmerising river, historic buildings and a solid reputation, this quaint city boasts many days of sunshine throughout the summer. But it’s not just about great weather. There’s so much to do here as well. From cruising along the river to exploring the city via bike, Cambridge is well worth a day or two. Be sure to visit Market Square to grab some fresh food and a great bargain at one of the many stalls. If you prefer a more relaxed moment, visit the Cambridge Mosque, known as Europe’s first eco mosque. Join one of the guided tours on the weekends to truly appreciate the amount of work that has gone into making this mosque a natural haven for those passing by. Whilst it can be appreciated all year round, there’s a beautiful unmatched atmosphere here in the summer.

Isle of Wight

Make this summer different by exploring the breathtaking smaller islands of the UK. The Isle of Wight is one of the few places that will surprise you thanks to its 57 miles of beautiful coastline. You’ll also find chocolate box villages here and the perfect hiking trails for those of you looking to explore beyond the beaches. With much of the island being an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), there’s never a dull moment on the Isle of Wight. We recommend visiting Ventnor as it has been classed as one of the sunniest spots on the Isle of Wight. With splendid beaches, striking scenery and an awesome food scene, Ventnor is also home to ‘Britain’s hottest garden’ known as Ventnor Botanical Garden. With the Isle of Wight being a great summer destination, it acts as the perfect spot for a staycation. With adventure parks, museums, zoos and so much more, the Isle of Wight is calling out to you this summer!

Tenby

Wales never does get the attention that it should. With fantastic beaches, quaint towns and much in the way of flora and fauna, Wales remains an underrated part of the UK. Tenby is a great medieval town located in southwest Wales and it’s the perfect spot for a summer vacation. In fact, you may just think you’re in Europe when you lay your eyes upon this small yet pretty seaside Welsh town. Tenby is a place you come to relax. It’s a place that helps you unwind in one of the most chilled-out environments in the UK. With plenty of shops and restaurants close by, Tenby and its Harbour Beach are great places for families and couples on a quick getaway trip. Whether you choose to go fishing or explore the nearby Caldey Island, Tenby is a strategic point to get started in Pembrokeshire.

Scilly Isles

Located off the tip of Cornwall, this archipelago enjoys some of the best weather in the UK. Whilst it does take some effort to reach these isles, you’ll fast realise that it was totally worth it. With ferries taking you between the five islands, you’ll get to explore contrasting scenery as you make your way from one place to another. From wild beaches to ancient ruins and a subtropical garden to many hiking trails, the Scilly Isles has more to offer than you might think. Use the tripper boats to go island hopping. You could also just lay on the white sandy beaches. If you’re interested in wildlife, why not take part in spotting them on the islands? Whilst Scilly Isles may not look that big on a map, you can easily end up spending a week or two here thanks to its beauty, calm atmosphere and many activities on offer throughout the five islands.
