The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah have now put in a place a portal through which Hajj pilgrims from Europe, America and Australia can register for Hajj 2022. The portal will also allow pilgrims to browse through various packages and receive support 24/7 all while browsing in a language of their choice.
The platform is a game-changer as it allows intending pilgrims to submit their request for a Hajj visa without going through a travel agency. To do this, they must register directly at www.motawif.com.sa.
There are of course certain conditions in place:
Pilgrims must be under the age of 65
Pilgrims must be fully vaccinated
Pilgrims must also present a negative PCR test prior to arriving in the Kingdom
Priority will be given to those who have not performed Hajj before.
These plans have been put into place to ensure a smoother and simpler process for those intending to perform Hajj. With a digital experience, it allows for quicker response times when it comes to issuing visas, keeping count of the number of pilgrims attending and reducing the heavy costs pilgrims have to pay if booked through a local travel agency.
