HalalTrip unveil 65 global halal destinations

Online Muslim travel platform, HalalTrip, on Wednesday unveiled tour packages to over 65 global destinations.

HalalTrip tailors Muslim friendly tour packages that includes excursions and activities to cities across the world including Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa and South East Asia.

The tour packages, accessible online and through the mobile app, aremade for Muslim consumers – a sector predicted to grow to $200 billion in the next four years.

Each package is also rated on how Muslim-friendly it is by HalalTrip’s sister firm, CrescentRating.

HalalTrip CEO Fazal Bahardeen said: “It is widely recognized that the Muslim travel market is becoming increasingly important and lucrative to the travel sector and the launch of these exclusive worldwide tour packages is a reflection on this,” he said.

The Muslim travel market is now widely recognized as a key growth tourism sector projected to be worth $200 billion by 2020 according to the MasterCard-CrescentRating Global Muslim Travel Index 2015, the most comprehensive research that has been released on the sector.
