How to Relieve Anxiety

Is anxiety hereditary? Was i born with it?

1 – Take a Breath of Fresh Air

…In through the nose (10 seconds) and out through the mouth (10 seconds). Just a few minutes of concentration on your breathing helps slow down your brain and calm your nerves. There are many breathing techniques to choose from, to help calm you down.

2 – Exercise

Exercise is never going to be easy in the beginning. Hitting snooze every ten minutes, staying warm in bed sounds much better, i know – but to help you get motivated think positive and start each day with the hope to do something new.

Yoga certainly has benefits, when it comes to tackling anxiety. It’s true, you always feel more accomplished and centred after a good work out.

3 – Keep positive

We spend hours and hours dwelling and ruminating on the negative and fearful things in our lives. We worry about what could go wrong, instead of focusing and paying attention to the rational, the positive and the good.  We should train ourselves to focus on thoughts that will move us forward in the right direction.

Happiness is a result of a decision to be happy.

I ask You by every name belonging to You which You name Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur’aan the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.’
