New Luxury RAK Honey Launches in The UK

Earlier this month, RAK Honey was launched as a brand-new product in the UK. Sourced from the remote mountain ranges of Ras Al Khaimah, this mono-floral honey has been the region’s secret for millennia.

Thanks to the rich soil and dynamic temperatures, RAK Honey is unlike any other honey you’ve tried. RAK Honey has been treasured and harvested by honey hunters for centuries due to its viscosity and flavour, uniquely defined by the region’s diverse terrain, arid soil and dynamic temperatures, giving its dark amber colour.

Based in the remotest parts of Ras Al Khaimah – the Nature Emirate of the UAE – RAK are supporting their local bees and beekeepers, and for the first time, those in the UK can now enjoy RAK Samar Honey.

RAK Honey is extracted from the Samar tree known for its beautiful white flowers. These bloom just a couple of weeks each year due to the arid conditions, helping to make RAK Samar one of the world’s most coveted and precious wildly crafted kinds of honey.

What’s so special about the Samar Tree?

The Samar tree, also known as Arabian acacia, grows only in the most remote locations, protecting the purity of its flowers. One of the most important trees in the UAE, it not only supports RAK’s mountainous ecosystem but also provides rare nectar for bees to produce delicious honey that offers a unique combination of potassium, succinic acid, magnesium, polyphenols and the antioxidant malic acid.

How to use RAK Honey

There’s not just one way of using this honey. RAK prides itself on its honey as well as how it can be consumed and applied. If you want to maximise how you take advantage of this unique honey, consider the following ways to benefit:

Consume straight off the spoon
Sip honey from a teaspoon on your tongue and let it melt away (avoid other food or drink for at least 15 minutes for added benefit).

Add it to your smoothie
Add an additional benefit to your fruit smoothie.

Add to a hot drink
A little bit of sweetness to your hot drink, but also the addition of the benefits.

Use as a face mask
Samar honey is high in succinic acid which is proven to rejuvenate skin and help with acne.

From 13th June, RAK Samar Honey (RRP £80, 250g) is available here
