Step into Parisian Cinema at Hôtel Dame Des Arts

While Paris is famed for its sweeping skyline views, the spotlight has recently shifted to Hôtel Dame Des Arts itself. Its rooftop terrace was recently featured in the latest series of Emily in Paris, particularly in fan-favourite Alfie’s appearance in Episode 10, showcasing why this hotel perfectly embodies the dynamic heritage of the Latin Quarter—an ideal base for exploring the storied streets of Paris as spring blooms.

Nestled in the heart of the Left Bank’s creative Latin Quarter, Hôtel Dame Des Arts places guests at the centre of a neighbourhood that flourished as a hub for arthouse cinema after World War II. Cinemas like Le Champo and Cinéma du Panthéon embraced the French Nouvelle Vague movement, and their influence is evident in the hotel’s award-winning design. When it opened in 2023, interior designer Raphael Navot reimagined the 1950s building to reflect the freedom and authenticity of Nouvelle Vague cinema, down to its signature scent and intimate cinema room, which hosts curated events and private screenings.

“Raphael Navot looked at how we could portray the values of Nouvelle Vague cinema—its freedom and authenticity—in the hotel experience,” says Matthieu Bernard, General Manager“The flow between our lobby, garden, restaurant, rooftop, and rooms mirrors the movement in these films, prioritising genuine storytelling over structure. Guests step off the streets of Paris and into a lived-in, welcoming scene that feels both natural and cinematic.”

The hotel’s location makes it one of Paris’ most walkable neighbourhoods. From its doorstep, guests can wander the Latin Quarter’s compact streets, cafés, bookshops, and galleries. Highlights like Notre-Dame Cathedral, the iconic Shakespeare and Company, the Seine, the Jardins du Luxembourg, and renowned local restaurants are all just a short stroll away.

As the city warms into spring, the hotel’s outdoor spaces come alive. Its rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the city, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or evening relaxation, while the courtyard garden provides a peaceful retreat for reading, conversation, or dining under the Parisian sky.

Rooms at Hôtel Dame Des Arts start from £246 per night, including breakfast. For more information, visit www.damedesarts.com
