South Asian summer preview at Grosvenor House Hotel

Discerning enthusiasts and followers of luxury, South Asian couture and craft are once again invited to attend the annual SUMMER PREVIEW exhibition and trunk show on Friday 9th June, 11am – 7pm, Albemarle Suite, Grosvenor House Hotel, 86-90 Park Lane, Mayfair, London W1K 7TN.

A key entry on the UK’s South Asian fashion calendar, SUMMER PREVIEW will once again comprise a multi-designer, luxury edit of the finest fashion, accessory and lifestyle collections, hosted be leading fashion influencers and tastemakers, Shivani Ahluwalia and Hajira Ahmad. The free to attend event will showcase seasonal collections by leading names in South Asian couture and prêt, from heritage to new gen, as well as curated, must-have accessory collections.

Participating designers from India, Pakistan and Hong Kong include Pakistani king of couture Umar Sayeed, known worldwide for his heritage label, House of Umar Sayeed.

AnA by Anu Singh and Archana Bhushan, whose collections present a rich depiction of India’s stylistic diversity, from sarees and anarkali’s to churidar kurtas, featuring the distinctive crafts of chikan kari, gota patti, zardozi and ari; London-based Hema Thakorlal.

Known for her subtle-toned, classic sarees to bright, floor- length gowns; Kamaali Couture, synonymous with bridal and cocktail collections featuring feminine drapes and bejeweled embroideries with a touch of western aesthetics; JMD ‘Design to Empower’, that showcases the art and craft of female artisans in India, who have learnt and practiced traditional hand embroidery techniques for generations; JR Jewelry, combining silver pieces with precious and semi-precious stones, popular with celebrities such as Parineeti Chopra and Baahubali actress, Tamannaah Bhatia; Rĕsa Fine Jewellery, spearheaded by Megha Malik, whose distinctive and statement pieces embody exquisite design and fine craftsmanship; JADAU by Kanwal Toor, featuring intricate, handmade jewellery embedded with precious and semi-precious stones, marking an evolution of elegance passed down through India’s rich history of art and design; and Crystal Bags by Sago, a luxury brand that specialises in exquisite bags, encrusted with Swarovski crystals.
